Similar to the seasonal chimes that can replace the standard chime for the holidays, the Batman Quick Replies are available from today until 21 March. Quick Replies aren’t chimes though: they’re messages that play when you can’t answer the door either immediately or at all. In the Ring App, you can tap on your doorbell, then Smart Reponses. Tap Quick Replies and enable them if you haven’t done that before.

Tap Quick Reply Message and you’ll find the Batman replies in the list. There’s a choice of four messages:

“Hello Neighbour, looks like we missed your bat signal. Please leave a message” (Female voice)“Hello Neighbour, looks like we missed your bat signal. Please leave a message” (Male voice)“Alfred has the day off today. And we are in the bat cave. Please leave a message at the doorbell”“Bat signal activated. We’ll be right there!”

They’re available globally, in English, on all Ring Video Doorbells except the Ring Video Doorbell Wired according to Ring’s blog post. However, a support page on Ring’s website lists that model for Quick Replies. Quick Replies were introduced in the UK back in July last year  but Alexa Greetings – where Alexa can answer the door for you and relay instructions for where to leave packages – is still only available in the US on a couple of doorbell models.
