Pre-Requisites:
Ensure to charge your phone to at least 50%.
To recognize your phone when connected to a PC, install the latest Realme, mobile USB drivers. Refer our guide:
Before flashing TWRP recovery, you must unlock the bootloader of your Android phone.
Backup contacts, apps, accounts, messages, call logs, and notes etc. for safety.
Steps to install TWRP Recovery on Realme 5 Pro:
Step 1: Launch Settings.
Step 2: Then tap on the About Phone section.
Step 3: Then click on the Version 7 times to unlock developer mode.
Click on it until a message saying, ”You are now a developer” appears.
Step 4: Go back and open Additional Settings.
Step 5: Now scroll down and open Developer options.
Step 6: Again scroll down and enable the USB debugging option.
Step 7: Download ADB and Fastboot drivers.
Step 8: Install the downloaded ADB setup file on your PC.
Step 9: Download TWRP.img.
Step 10: Copy this TWRP.img file to the location C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (where you’ve installed the ADB and fastboot).
So you’ll have these files in the ADB folder:
Step 11: Then connect your mobile to computer. Step 12: Go to the location C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder, hold the Shift button, and right mouse click on a space. You’ll see a list of options from which select the Open command window here option. This will open the cmd window on your computer.
Step 13: Type the below command in the cmd window and press the enter key: adb devices As soon as you hit enter, a message saying ‘List of devices attached’ will appear. This will confirm a successful connection between your Realme 5 Pro and PC.
Note: If such a thing does not happen, then re-install mobile USB drivers from the Pre-requisites section. Step 14: Enter the below command and hit enter: adb reboot bootloader
This will reboot Realme 5 Pro into fastboot mode as shown below.
Step 15: To confirm whether fastboot is functional or not, enter the following command: fastboot devices
Some random numbers along with the ‘List of devices attached’ message will verify that fastboot is functional. Step 16: Let’s start the Realme 5 Pro TWRP recovery flashing process now. For that, enter the below command: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
As soon as you hit the enter key, the TWRP recovery will be flashed on your Realme 5 Pro RMX1971 smartphone.
Steps to Boot Realme 5 Pro into TWRP recovery mode:
Step 1: Switch off your Realme smartphone. Step 2: Press and hold Volume down + Power button simultaneously until fastboot mode appears. Leave both the keys now. Step 3: Just press the Volume keys until you see the Recovery mode option at the top. Step 4: Now press the Power button to start the recovery mode. Finally! This is how you can boot Realme 5 Pro into TWRP recovery mode. Note: If you are unable to reboot your phone into recovery, use the TWRP Manager app from Google Play Store.
