Let’s start with a real winner from Olixar, the ArmourDillo. It was designed to specifically accommodate your Note 8, is impact resistant and will protect your phone from bumps and scrapes. The material covers a large surface, including corner and sides, which helps improve your grip. The case also enables greater shock absorption, a really helpful feature if you have an active lifestyle or let your kids use your phone. The ArmourDillo was built to make sure no extra bulk would be added: it is extremely light and quite thin. It has a built-in viewing stand which enables landscape viewing, and cutouts to make sure all your ports are still usable. Its price, £12.99, is quite average, but the case isn’t.
Olixar FlexiShield Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Gel Case
Olixar’s FlexiShield is the case you need if you want your phone to be fully protected, without spending too much money. For a cheap £4.99, its strong, durable material offers great protection. Both flexible and tough, FlexiShield will improve your grip, making sure your phone drops a lot less. It also has a built-in bezel to protect your screen when facing down or falling. It is light and comfortable, adding no extra bulk to your phone, and has cutouts for every port so that you’ll never need to take it off. It is the perfect case if you take great care of your phone and are looking for basic protection.
Olixar X-Duo Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Case

The double layered constructions enables for tough protection from scratches, knocks and drops, and does not add any extra bulk. Built to last, it is a great investment at a reasonable price of £19.99.
Tech21’s range of Note 8 cases includes the Pure Clear, which is thin, lightweight and completely transparent so as not to cover up the design of the phone. It has two layers of impact materials to protect your phone from drops of up to two metres, and there are openings for ports and buttons for a perfect fit.
Samsung Alcantara case for Galaxy Note 8
This premium Alcantara case for the Note 8 is lush, though doesn’t protect the screen from scratches. The soft fibre feel of the case is great, and makes it much grippier than the glass underneath without adding a ton of bulk to the already large device. It’s available in several colours and is one of our favourites.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 2-Piece Cover Case
The 2-Piece is Samsung’s cheapest option, at £19.99. It is made of two easy to attach shapes which bookend your Note 8 and give it a unique style, while protecting it from drops. Its impact resistant construction allows for shock absorption and its innovative design makes it easier to hold. The 2-Piece’s main asset is that it preserves your phone’s abilities for wireless charging and contactless payment, and gives easy access to all ports and buttons. If you’re looking for optimal protection, this might not be your best option. But if you regularly use your phone to make payments or get on the tube, and are careful enough not to drop it very often, the 2-Piece will be the perfect case for you.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Clear View Standing Cover Case
The Clearview Standing Cover is the exact opposite of the 2-Piece. The case offers a lot of interesting options. Its semi-transparent cover gives easy access to time, battery life, incoming calls and texts without having to open the phone. You can also manage your notifications, as the cover is fully touch compatible. It offers great screen protection and keeps your phone safe from scratches and front-on impact. Its built-in viewing option folds horizontally, allowing landscape viewing, and the case can also double up as a mirror, if you ever need to check your looks real quick. It is, of course, quite pricey, but displays a lot of extra features. This is the case you need if you’re into cool technological gadgets but also want to make sure your phone benefits from maximum protection.
Another slim but sturdy case comes from Griffin, which offers the Survivor Strong for £29 to protect your Note 8 from drops of 2 metres thanks to an Impact Dispersion System and shatter-resistant shell.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Protective Stand Cover Case
Samsung’s standover case is less pricey alternative to the Clearview Cover and offers larger protection than the basic 2-Piece. Its bumper style preserves your Note 8’s design, as you can see the majority of your phone, but also ensures it will be greatly protected. It has sleek, metallic bumpers on the edges and a thick back cover with a raised lip, so your screen will stay safe from scrapes. The textured surface enables a better grip, and the material is slim and light, adding no extra bulk. It offers cutouts so that you’ll keep maximal access to ports and buttons. It might seem a bit expensive as it does not add many extra features, but as a Samsung official product, it guarantees your Note 8 maximal protection.
Samsung LED View Cover Case for Galaxy Note 8
One of the many official Samsung cases for the Note 8, the LED cover is pretty clever. When closed it displays the time and notifications on the dot matrix display on the front. You can customise what little symbols appear on the front depending who is calling, while others show things like trains and clocks for travel and alarms. With an internal credit card slot, this is a fully featured if expensive choice that also protects the screen from scratches.

Zizo Bolt Series Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Tough Case & Belt Clip
This case is an affordable way to get complete protection of your precious Note 8. It comes with drop tested case, belt clip accessory and tempered glass screen protector. This means you can’t get much more covered, though it isn’t waterproof (but the phone is!) It’s quite light considering the overall protection and also has a kickstand for watching videos.
